What is IKEv2?

IKEv2 is a newer version of Internet Key Exchange, a protocol that was developed by Microsoft and Cisco. IKEv2 is particularly good at automatically re-establishing a VPN connection when users temporarily lose their internet connections. This makes the protocol a good solution for mobile users. The protocol is also secure and fast, though it has to be said that open source implementations are preferred, since Microsoft helped develop it.

This is our standard protocol for all devices with update operating systems.
